Trust in God

In Morning Prayer of the Divine Office for today as provided by Universalis is this beautiful hymn, which each time I pray it brings great consolation.

Alone with none but thee, my God,
I journey on my way.
What need I fear, when thou art near,
O King of night and day?
More safe am I within thy hand,
Than if a host did round me stand.

My destined time is fixed by thee,
And death doth know his hour.
Did warriors strong around me throng,
They could not stay his power;
No walls of stone can man defend
When thou thy messenger dost send.

My life I yield to thy decree,
And bow to thy control
In peaceful calm, for from thine arm
No power can wrest my soul.
Could earthly omens e’er appal
A man that heeds the heavenly call!

The child of God can fear no ill,
His chosen dread no foe;
We leave our fate with thee, and wait
Thy bidding when to go.
‘Tis not from chance our comfort springs,
Thou art our trust, O King of kings.

It is good to see the Faith Movement still bringing young people to Christ. It did the same for me right back in it’s beginnings in the early 1970’s. The fully orthodox synthesis presented is both intellectually satisfying and spiritually nourishing. This synthesis can be found in ‘Catholicism a New Synthesis’ By Fr Edward Holloway STL and other books and pamphlets available from the Faith website or in eBook format Here.

Pontifical High Mass in Scotland

What an honour it has been to play a small part in the preparations for, and participation in this wonderful event.

Nicola Sturgeon’s Proposal to exterminate Irish in Scotland

THIS article on the SPUC website tells how Nicola Sturgeon is apparently trying to exterminate the Irish by allowing them free abortions on the NHS in Scotland.

Is this because she considers the Irish a threat to the stability of her avowed goal of Scottish independenece or does she just hate the Irish?

Perhaps she simply hates babies! Who knows?

Episcopalian homosexual ‘marriage’

May I be the first to welcome back any Episcopalians who, after their church agreeing to conduct ‘marriage’ services for homosexual couples, would like to realign themselves back into the One True Fold in the fullness of the Faith of Jesus Christ.

This also applies to our other Separated Brethren (especially from the other Anglican communions who will no doubt follow suit).

| Catholicism without compromise

Many Muslims – maybe even the majority – are peaceable and want the things we all want. A happy family, home… fulfillment. But if you read the Koran, it is hard to see how Islam, with its repeated injunctions to slaughter the Infidel without mercy, can ever possibly be described as a religion of peace.

Having read the qoran this statement is totally true – Our recourse to combat this is the Holy Rosary of the Immaculate Heart of Mary and Our Blessed Lord Himself transebstantially present in the Most Blessed Sacrament.

I Love Thee Jesus

My Love above all things.

I repent with my whole heart

of having offended Thee.

Never permit me to separate myself

from Thee again.

Grant that I may Love Thee always.

Then do with me what Thou wilt.

Purity and the Rosary

Despite all the ridiculous nonsense being promulgated in the wake of Amoris Laetitia by prelates and theologians who obviously have no desire for chastity or purity themselves and so claim that such an ‘Ideal’ is impossible!?!?

I would just like to point out that a daily Rosary to the Immaculate Heart of Mary and continued impurity are mutually incompatible!

Give it a try! –  And as Fr Z would say – Go to Confession!

A Prayer for our children

Dear Lord, we pray for all our children, especially those who have left the practice of their Faith.

May they return to the full unity of Love within Your Holy Church and may their lives find fulfilment in Your Holy Will.

Mostly, whatever choices they make in life, may they all eventually be admitted to Heaven to abide in Your Love.
